Kaunas University of Technology (KTU)
Kaunas University of Technology is one of the RTD performers in the project. KTU will have a particular role in validating the pilot versions primarily at a national level. Ensuring that the pilots are working well and that user requirements and legal requirements (REACH) are fulfilled. KTU will also be involved in the scientific understanding and the system specifications as well as the training program
Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) is an education, science and research university. The Institute of Environmental Engineering (APINI) was established in 1991. APINI specializes in research, education and consultancy work in areas related to environmental engineering such as chemicals control and management, integrated environmental and quality management systems, cleaner production, waste prevention and management, environmental efficiency, eco-design, environmental impact assessment, modelling and management of surface water quality. They are particularly experienced in chemicals control and risk management. APINI was one of the first institutions in Lithuania, which started working intensively on issues of chemicals control in Lithuania (in 1998).
